Twenty year Army Veteran Antione A. Johnson served as a U.S. Army Instructor, Platoon SGT, Operations SGT and Gulf War Veteran. His longstanding dedication demonstrated by the years he served in the Army endows him with the ability to connect with soldiers and to have direct understanding of the challenges they face. His military occupation is considered one of the most challenging training programs in the Armed Forces-further confirming his qualifications to implement the Relaxation Response Program and Center. As a Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) expert, Mr. Johnson developed instructional methods that were unique to the needs of the organization. In addition he insured that every soldier met and exceeded the military requirement to survive on the NBC battlefield.
In addition to his military experience, Antione Johnson earned his Masters level Cognitive Educator with 10yrs experience working for students 5-21 years-old who are clinically identified with Serious Emotional and Behavior Disorders.
Children and youth identified with emotional and behavior disorders have been exposed to trauma related events. Research indicates that the impact of trauma during childhood is 3 times as damaging as veterans of the Vietnam War. Based on the similar symptoms between the students Mr. Johnson teaches (PTSD, depression, social phobia, anxiety, bipolar, and the symptoms displayed from warriors returning from Iraq and Afghanistan is another reason why he has incepted this program. *I believe that all feelings and behaviors are learned either through adversity or pleasure; and I teach students to learn and practice new behaviors. I earned the Colorado Teacher of the Year, not just for my outstanding methods of instructional delivery; but mainly because of my unyielding belief in *The Power of the Human Spirit* and its ability to bounce back in spite of the adversities, hardships, and circumstances-RESILIENCY!*
